Meet Cheyenne from Tennessee. Cheyenne is 14 years old and has Down syndrome.
TENNESSEE FAMILIES ONLY BEING CONSIDERED. Cheyenne is a cute, joyful 14-year-old female. She enjoys positive attention and continues to work on speech skills and verbally communicating her wants and needs. Cheyenne does well in the classroom by exhibiting appropriate behaviors and working on her educational goals. She is able to show affection by blowing kisses and giving hugs, but attachment is minimal. She does require supervision during waking hours but sleeps throughout the night with medication. Cheyenne has an intense fear of all animals so her forever home would need to be with a family without any animals, indoor or out. She would also benefit from a home that has structure and the ability to supervise her and keep her engaged. Cheyenne needs a nuturing family that can support her in reaching her maximum potential, while providing love and nurture.
Cheyenne will be most successful in a home where there are no other children.
