Meet Ismaiel from California. Ismaiel is 9 months and has Down syndrome. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He is happy and very easy going. He is described as quiet and easy to care for. However, when Ismaiel is frustrated or angry, he is difficult to console.
Ismaiel has many delays due to having Down syndrome. He is unable to sit, crawl or stand and as has little to no language. He has been diagnosed with chronic Bronchiolitis and Asthma; he takes daily medication two times a day for his bronchial issues. He also has pulmonary artery anomaly, requiring him to see a cardiologist. Lastly, Ismaiel has tested positive for Hepatitis C. If he continues to test positive for Hep C, he will require treatment.
Ismaiel would benefit from living in a home that is loving, stable and nurturing, which is conducive to his mental and physical health as well as personal growth and independence.
There are NO fees for his adoption, and a subsidy will travel with him.
You MUST have an updated and signed home study. If you are interested in Ismaiel and are brand new to the adoption process, visit our Adoptive Families page here.
