Stephanie Thompson
Stephanie is the Director of the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network. Before her position at the NDSAN, she worked for 11 years in many different roles within the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.
One of her roles at the DSAGC was providing birth parent support to families whose child received a diagnosis of Down syndrome. She made many hospital visits to families, providing information and resources.
Her experience comes from her own birth son Christopher. She is able to put herself in the shoes of all families who call her, because she still vividly remembers when her son received a diagnosis of Down syndrome.
When Stephanie is not working, she is out on her bike or the running trail, traveling with her husband, or visiting with her sons, Chris and Cody.
