Meet Tristan

Meet Tristan! 

Tristan can be very sweet and loving.  He likes to be held or sit on the lap of those he knows well.  He loves to dance and bounce around to music or watch cartoons and YouTube videos.  Tristan loves taking walks outdoors and splashing in water.  He is able to attach to those closest to him. 

Tristan has been diagnosed with Down syndrome, autism, and diabetes.  He in unable to communicate his needs verbally and requires assistance with most daily living skills.  Tristan engages in severe self-injurious behaviors.  These behaviors do not seem to be done out of anger or frustration.  While he does his best with a structured consistent routine, he will continue to need an intensive level of care and special services and supports indefinitely. 

Tristan will need a family who is able to provide a great deal of supervision and care to meet his physical, mental, emotional and medical needs.  He will do best in a home with an experienced family, who is able to provide care for a child with high needs.

If you have a home study, but you are NOT on the NDSAN registry, please have your worker send your home study and family profile to Tristan's worker, who is listed on his page here. (Tristan's worker's information is visible to those who have an account with AdoptUSKids.) The NDSAN cannot send your information if you are not on our registry.
